The complex rules of Subbuteo Rugby have often proved its downfall in becoming a popular and easy to play table top game. Several versions of the rules were produced with various amendments during its production, and people continue to produce their own rules today. With rule changes occuring in both codes all the time, rules require constantly updating.
The Subbuteo Rugby Association has adopted the modern day rule booklet by Paul Lloyd as our official rugby rules. The original rules were not in depth enough to enable people to have a proper game of rugby. There is a comprehensive rule booklet for both league and union, available now for £3 plus postage below:

The set covers all areas of the game of rugby union; line outs, rucks, tactical kicking, penalties, mauls, scrimmaging, touch in goal and so on.

The set covers all areas of the game; handovers, 40/20s, tactical kicking, penalties, play the ball, goal line drop outs, touch in goal and more.
